  Great food and large portions. I had angel hair pasta with jumbo shrimp and all of it was cooked to perfection. The staff was attentive and friendly. It was standing room only when we went and the atmosphere wasn't quiet, but it was an awesome meal. We will definitely be back!

  The atmosphere is amazing. However, prices are a bit expensive. For example , oreo cake at $7.25 is a bit costly. Overall, great food ! Their TABLET D'HOTE is amazing!! Shrimp pasta, salad, tea and dessert for only $14,95!

  I hate to start off with such a negative, but I have to report I was inflicted with severe food poisoning from my visit to Scarolies. It was the only thing I had eaten all day and I was left sick for 24 hours with all the classic food poisoning symptoms! The rest of my party were fine, so perhaps it was just my specific order? (the lasagna dish). Beyond this unfortunate event, I found the food itself rather mediocre. My lasagna was mostly just a "soup" of sauce and cheese. And very bland tasting. Two other family members felt the same way about their dishes being sub par (veal and chicken), and not worthy of a second visit. Even the desserts lacked any zing and I left us disappointed. Their hot bread baguette was rather good, but that hardly makes up for the rest. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere nice (albeit a little too crowded) so I don't want to be overly harsh, but the bland food and particularly the food poisoning incident has left me turned off.

  Always beautiful atmosphere. Reservations easily made over the phone (strongly recommended for supper on weekends). Friendly and professional wait staff. The owner even came by to check up on us. The dishes are huge so most people leave with take out boxes. My mother came for the mussles in marinara sauce. She had it once last year and has been craving it ever since. Despite the giant pot, my parents polished it off in minutes. Perfectly prepared. No sand. The pasta dishes were delicious. I was quite full from the bread though. It's hard to resist a warm and fresh baguette when given olive oil and balsamic vinegar. There are ample vegetarian options. Vegan and gluten free options are more limited (they have gluten free penne).
