  I love this place. Food is great, never had a bad meal. The ambience is upscale. You can go with jeans and a t-shirt, but you will feel out of place. The service is great; charming and knowledgeable. It's a bring your own wine, and they know how to properly open one too!! The place seems to be popular with the elderly crowd, so it's not very loud. They have televisions on premises which show sports and they are spread around the restaurant, but they seem out of place with the rest of the decor. Overall, love it!! Cant wait to go back!!

  Service was friendly, staff knowledgable and very helpful with menu choices. Good selection available, food always fresh and tastes great. eatery style, open concept can be noisy especially at peak times but quiets down later at night.

  Nicely setup resteraunt, great service, perfect for groups. Bring your own wine. I have eaten here several times but I have never had any of their pasta dishes. They don't know how to make tomato sauce and they overcook the pasta. My friend had the calamari and it was perfect. My other friend had the grilled salmon and they overcooked it.

  This was my first time at l'Academie. I went with my boyfriend. I had the cannelloni which was amazing! The sauce was so good, the filing amazing and there was a perfect amount of cheese! My boyfriend had the scampi. He also found it very tasty although he would have liked them to be a bit bigger. Then came the decadent selection of deserts. It was hard to choose! So those are the positives! I would have to say the negatives were the very small bread/roll that we each had to start with. I was taken aback at how small it was. The other thing would be that we had to wait quite a while for our food. There were 2 tables (one of four and one of two) that came in and ordered quite a bit after us and they got their food ahead of us. So that was a negative. And finally I'd have to say the noise level was quite loud which made it a little difficult for conversing. Bottom line is yes I'd go again.

  Have been to this location several times. The quality has gone way down hill. It just doesn't feel like the same place. Someone at our table ordered the lasagna and he sent it back because it tasted like sour milk. His girlfriend also tried it to make sure that it wasn't just him. He was so turned off he did not order anything else. The mussels continue to be good. The main appeal is byow. The waiter wasn't very attentive and he came back out to my brother to ask what the problem was with his food and said the new one should be out shortly which my brother never refuses an order or sends food back, but again he refused it. Everything feels cheaper. No more cloth napkins, paper now. The wallpaper next to the booth where we were sitting was all peeled. Just small details that can easily make a difference.
